Harald Rocca, your tour leader is a certified guide/instructor with eleven years of extensive sea-kayak touring in Southeast Alaska's Inside Passage, the West Coast of Vancouver Island and Haida Gwai /Queen Charlotte Island, and will do his utmost to give you a safe, but challenging experience.

He has been teaching kayaking skills to dozens of beginner and intermediate paddlers, with the intent to make them independent, safe and competent. Seamanship, power of observation, respect for the environment technical paddle skills and low-impact camp-craft are the motto of his lessons and tours.

Northern wilderness travel has always been his passion, and for the last thirty-six years he has been leading "trekking tours" through the mountains of the Yukon, guided hunting trips using saddle and packhorses in the Rocky Mountains and Northwest Territories and run a remote winter trap-line in Central Yukon two-hundred kilometres from the closest settlement. All this has given him an extensive knowledge and experience the he likes to share with like minded people.

Beatrix Rocca, has been an enthusiastic kayaker for the last four years sharing her husbands love for the coastal environment of Alaska and the Queen Charlotte Island. She also has worked as cook in remote base-camps, and keeping everybody well fed and content is "serious" business for her.
