We are a small Sea-Kayak touring company offering expeditions for limited groups into the majestic marine environment of the Alaska Panhandle and the North Coast of British Columbia. We provide a somewhat unique approach to Sea-Kayak touring, in that every day there will be one hour dedicated to improve your paddling skills. This way by the end of the trip your Kayak will respond far better to your commands. You will with improved technique, be able to paddle further, with less effort, and have confidence to recognize and handle the changing moods of the ocean. The areas we visit in Southeast Alaska abound with marine life, humpback whales, porpoises, seals and sea-lions and the sighting of orcas could happen any time. Seabirds and Bald-Eagles are plentiful as well as sea-otters on tours that visit the outer coast and Glacer Bay. We offer tours for every skill level. Protected waters and bays for beginners - plus expeditions to the outer coast for intermediate to advanced paddlers. Your tour leader is a certified instructor with eleven years of extensive touring on the ocean and will do his utmost to give you a safe, but challenging experience. He has been teaching sea-kayaking skills to dozens of beginning and intermediate kayak paddlers, with the intent to make them independent, safe and competent and have the seamanship and power of observation to know when to go, and when to sit in a comfortable camp and just watch the power of the sea. |
